Our Story
In a modest home in Cuddalore, Mrs. Manoranjitham, born on 27 September 1908, lived by the simplest yet most enduring values kindness, respect, and care. Her life was quiet, but her influence touched every generation that followed.Her husband, Captain Dr. Ranganathan Swaminathan, served in the Indian Medical Services during World War II. His unwavering sense of duty and compassion shaped their home into one where service to others was a way of life.Carrying forward this spirit, their son, R. Chinnikrishnan, brought a quiet revolution to Indian households. By introducing sachet packaging, he made shampoo affordable and accessible transforming the way millions accessed daily essentials.
As part of its ongoing commitment to community welfare, CavinKare continues to uphold the values deeply rooted in its founding family. Under the leadership of C. K. Ranganathan, grandson of Mrs. Manoranjitham and Chairman & Managing Director of CavinKare, the company established CK Unavagam—a space devoted to serving wholesome, nutritious meals with dignity and compassion.
This initiative embodies the visionary spirit of Ms. Amudhavalli Ranganathan, daughter of Mr. C.K. Ranganathan, who envisioned CK Unavagam as a student-led initiative. By empowering the youth to take charge, she ensures that the next generation of leaders will carry forward the journey of compassion, service, and community spirit Her foresight has transformed this space from a place of personal heritage into a dynamic center of public service, where history meets hope and the youth become the driving force for change in the community.
